Columbia, Tennessee
In response to significant population growth and urban expansion, Ardurra partnered with the City of Columbia to expand its existing wastewater treatment facility to meet future demand.
The expansion includes new headworks, an anaerobic reactor, oxidation ditches, clarifiers, and UV disinfection system, along with renovation of existing biosolids management facilities. During the preliminary design phase, Ardurra successfully negotiated a new NPDES permit with TDEC to establish appropriate design parameters for the expanded facility.
The plant is designed for 10 MGD summer capacity and 17 MGD winter biological capacity, with peak flow capability of 38 MGD.
