We worked as a sub-consultant to HNTB on this corridor study that included analyzing current and future traffic and safety conditions along I-10 from the New Mexico to Louisiana border in Texas. The I-10 Corridor Study examined currently planned transportation initiatives, provided an analysis of additional needs to improve safety, connectivity, and mobility along I-10, and identified short-, mid-, and long-term improvements to address the comprehensive needs of the corridor.
The I-10 Corridor Study identified four area types (rural, transition, urban, and dense urban) to conduct a more detailed assessment of capacity and performance. Different performance criteria were considered to address unique characteristics as needed.
