The Atlantis Sanya Resort is owned by the Fosun Group from Shanghai, China and managed by Kerzner International. The resort opened in 2018. The resort features the Aquaventure Water Park and the Lost Chambers Aquarium. Aquaventure highlights include interactive experiences with dolphins and sea lions, a wave pool, and a number of exhilarating water slides. The Lost Chambers features the 13.5-million liter Ambassador Lagoon, one of the largest open air aquariums in the world.  

Ardurra provided LSS design services for all of the aquatic animal exhibits including the Lost Chambers, Dolphin Cave, Sea Lion Point, and the Ambassador Lagoon. In addition, Ardurra provided water treatment services for all of the waterpark slides and pools as well as for the hotel swimming pools. Design services were provided in collaboration with MWH Taiwan through the design development stage of the project, after which the design packages were put out to tender. Throughout the design process, Ardurra worked closely with the Atlantis Palm staff to develop and work through key design criteria such as seawater supply and process development.
