Ernesto Aguilar

ERNESTO AGUILAR, PE

President/Chief Executive Officer

Ernesto is a visionary leader and seasoned Professional Engineer with 30+ years of experience encompassing all aspects of operations, management, business development and project delivery for engineering and consulting. As CEO, Ernesto is focused on building an employee-centric culture, leading Ardurra’s organic and acquisitive growth strategy, and ensuring the quality of our projects. He brings best practices and lessons learned from serving at the helm of some of the fastest growing firms in the country, compounded by his experience managing private, public and private equity portfolio companies within the AE industry. Ernesto leads the sourcing, valuation and merging of acquired companies, with an emphasis on integration as the key to building a unified firm. His passion and primary goal is continuing to grow a profitable company that provides exciting opportunities for our employees and impeccable service to our clients.

RAGHU VETURI, PE, PTOE

Research and Development Director

Raghu has over 19 years of progressive experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on traffic engineering and transportation projects. In his current role as Traffic/ITS Group leader in Ardurra's Central Region, Raghu is responsible for leading the team in designing and implementing traffic solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Raghu has a deep understanding of the practical concepts and applications of traffic engineering and transportation planning, which allows him to deliver effective solutions for complex projects. His expertise includes: transportation planning, traffic control systems analysis and design, intersections, street lighting evaluation, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic safety, and data analytics. Raghu holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor's Degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University, India. This combination of education and practical experience has given him a solid foundation in engineering, enabling him to apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations. Raghu enjoys tackling the challenges of today's rapidly evolving urban environment and delivering innovative solutions for transportation-related issues.

RANDY DUMAS

Chief Financial Officer

Randy Dumas brings three decades of extensive experience in financial leadership to his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Ardurra. His career spans diverse industries, including logistics, engineering, construction, and telecommunications, with significant expertise in navigating various stages of the business lifecycle.

Most recently, Randy served as CFO for STG Logistics, a leading domestic intermodal logistics carrier. Prior to STG, he was CFO for Omni Logistics, where he successfully led their finance and shared service organizations through substantial growth, increasing the company’s revenue from $100 million to over $2 billion primarily through strategic mergers and acquisitions.

Randy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s in business administration from the University of Dallas. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas.

As CFO at Ardurra, Randy leads all aspects of the company’s finance, accounting, and information technology functions. He works closely with President & CEO Ernesto Aguilar and the leadership team, focusing on ensuring that Ardurra’s back-office processes are scalable and well-positioned to support the company’s significant growth prospects.

Dan Leyendecker

DAN LEYENDECKER, PE

National Initiatives Director

Dan serves as Ardurra’s National Strategic Growth Director and is responsible for strategic growth throughout our services and states. Dan is a recognized leader in the industry with a distinguished career spanning 30 years. He was part of an acquisition that specialized in these types of projects. His project experiences include master planning, detailed design, and construction management. Dan is considered by his peers and clients to be a causal agent for the development of engineering solutions, acquisition of financial resources and the creation of a vision for the future. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University at College Station.

Brenda Greg-2

BRENDA GREIG

Chief Human Resources Officer

Brenda has over 30 years of experience working in the infrastructure industry which has included global utilities, engineering and thought leadership consultants, construction, and financial services firms. As a leader with global experiences focusing on HR disciplines for more than half of her career, she brings diverse skillsets and accomplishments through project management, accounting and finance, communications, marketing, and sales.  Prior to her most recent consulting activities, she oversaw HR functions and business partners for a 10,500+ employee-owned engineering, construction and consulting firm delivering infrastructure projects for global utilities and public, private, and government clients.  Early career experiences with mergers and acquisitions make her a ready champion of integration and culture drivers when organizations are growing and evolving. Brenda will be working closely with Ernesto Aguilar (President & CEO), and Team Ardurra’s industry leaders, to ensure talent and culture continues to be supported though our shared values of building a great company for both clients and employees. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri.

Chris Canonico

CHRIS CANONICO, PE

Regional Director, Central Water

Based in Houston Texas, Chris joined Ardurra over 5 years ago to help grow the Central Region after more than 20 years with two large national firms focused on the water market. Chris now serves as the Regional Sales Director to help expand our services in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. He enjoys finding innovative and collaborative solutions that enhance the communities we live in. Chris also has a passion for alternative delivery and P3’s; he loves the opportunity to chat with clients on these delivery models. As background, Chris holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Duke University.

Arpit

ARPIT TALATI, PE

Chief Operations Officer

Arpit Talati brings more than 23 years of experience spanning business development, operational performance, project delivery, strategic growth, and client relations. 

As COO, Arpit oversees daily operations, drives performance, and ensures successful project delivery. He collaborates closely with Ardurra’s senior leadership team to continue building upon the company’s employee- and client-centric culture.

Arpit's background includes 8 years at WSP and 15 years at Jacobs, where he held various leadership positions and managed significant business units. During his time at WSP, he served as the Senior Vice President, Texas Southwest District Leader, overseeing a team of over 1000 professionals and managing a business unit that included transportation, water, property and buildings, energy, advisory, and environment, generating approximately $240M in net revenue annually. His career in civil engineering began in transportation, progressing from project management to senior leadership roles.

Arpit holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.

JOE DOWNEY, PE

Regional Director, Southeast Water

Joe is the Southeast Regional Director of Sales with 37 years of experience with all aspects of water and wastewater projects, including process design, project management and quality management. He was part of an acquisition that specialized in water and wastewater projects. Joe is a leader in the procurement and execution of projects including Alternative Delivery/Design-Build and believes that successful business is based on building relationships with clients and establishing collaborative partnerships with the owner-client, engineering team, and construction team. Joe graduated from Auburn University with degrees for Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering and continues to support Auburn as an adjunct instructor for graduate level environmental engineering courses. Joe is registered as a Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Chief Strategy Officer

Kart has more than 30 years of experience in water, wastewater, and conveyance system projects. He has worked for global consulting firms leading various business units in the consulting engineering industry. Kart came to Ardurra as part of an acquisition that specialized in water and wastewater projects. In his current and previous roles, he has overseen billions in design-build and traditional design bid build projects in the water and wastewater industry. His primary focus is on driving the organization to provide exceptional client service. He goes beyond just the numbers, as he emphasizes the importance of building relationships with our clients and communities based on trust, expertise, and innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in India, and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Regional Director, SW Mountain

Karl is the Regional Director for the Mountain Region and is responsible for regional sales as we grow that region. He was part of an acquisition that specialized in civil, public works, and transportation projects. Karl has more than 28 years of experience working with large regional transportation agencies in Arizona. Karl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northern Arizona University. Karl has experience working in the Flagstaff and Phoenix Arizona regions.

Brent Walters

BRENT WALTERS

Chief Legal Officer

Brent has over 20 years of experience working in the legal industry which has included complex transactions, construction, engineering firms, and government. Brent is respected for building relationships to drive positive results with expertise in government, construction, aviation, design services, real estate, insurance, claims management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and board governance, licensing and regulatory issues, design-build/public-private partnerships, and managing complex projects. Prior to joining Ardurra, he oversaw and managed multiple functions for a 2,500+ engineering, construction management, and consulting firm delivering infrastructure projects for public and private clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. Previously, he managed procurement for the City Chicago’s O’Hare Modernization Program and prior to that was in private practice in Chicago, Illinois.

Brent works closely with President & CEO, Ernesto Aguilar, and Team Ardurra’s industry leaders, in pursuit of our shared vision of building a great company for both clients and employees.

Brent holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law, a Master of Science from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska.

LISA PENNA

LISA PENNA, PE

Regional Director, California

Lisa joined Ardurra as the Practice Director for Public Works in California and now plays a regional sales director role as we grow the California and Southwest Regions. Lisa joined the Ardurra family as the seventh acquisition in the early start of the company. With almost 40 years of experience, she began her career as an engineer with a small local agency in Southern California then moved on into management and operations with a Southern California based municipal engineering firm before starting her own business in 2008.  Lisa is a past recipient of the Southern California APWA Private Sector Leader of the Year Award and the past recipient of the Orange County ASCE Private Sector Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award. Lisa is a past president of the Orange County CA chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), and serves as a representative on the ACEC CA Qualifications Based Selection and Local Agency Contracts Committee as well as the Business Management and Insurance Committee. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.

Chief Information Officer

Amauris brings over 18 years of experience in the field of information technology and has a diverse background in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Hospitality, Gaming, and Healthcare industries with extensive experience in enterprise computing, telecommunications, service desk management, enterprise data center solutions and general IT administration. At Ardurra, Amauris oversees the Information Technology department and sets IT direction based on the overall business objectives and coordinates the service delivery for the organization. Previously, Amauris has held positions as an IT consultant in healthcare, Vice President of IT Infrastructure Operations in hospitality and most recently, Global IT Infrastructure Director for one of the largest and fastest growing engineering firms. Amauris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Florida International University and an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from Miami Dade College.

Walfry Pevida

WALFRY PEVIDA, PE

Regional Director, Southeast Transportation

Walfry is the Regional Director for the Southeast and Florida Regions in Transportation. He grew his previous company to a Top 100 ENR Southeast Firm and created a culture that combines engineering excellence with fun, healthy, and collaborative lifestyles before being acquired by Ardurra. Walfry joins Ardurra with more than 30 years of experience leading major infrastructure projects including the $838 million I-395 Signature Bridge Project in Miami, FL, and the 95 Express Phase 1 project from SR 836 to SR 826, (the first express lanes to become operational in Florida!). He specializes in complex transportation/highway, Alternative Delivery/Design-Build and Value Engineering projects. Walfry holds a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami. He is a registered engineer in Florida, Georgia and Texas.

ANGELA BERNACE

Employee Engagement Partner

Angie is our Employee Engagement Partner and will play a pivotal role as an advocate for our workforce and in fostering Ardurra’s culture. She will spearhead various initiatives aimed at integrating newly acquired employees seamlessly into the Ardurra family, while leading efforts to ensure our culture remains vibrant and inclusive.

She will work closely with senior leadership and the HR and Marketing teams to amplify our employer branding efforts, promote engagement in the company’s diverse employee programs, and help expand our talent pipeline. Angela’s transition to Employee Engagement Partner further solidifies Ardurra’s commitment to elevating our employee-centric culture and reinforcing our reputation as an employer of choice.

Angie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Webber International University.

BILL RUSSELL, PE

Regional Director, Northwest

Bill is the Regional Director for the Northwest Region for Ardurra. Prior to being acquired by Ardurra, he led his previous company for 14 years creating a successful firm of over 200 employees and nine offices throughout the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain Region. Bill joins Ardurra with more than 36 years of experience of hands-on project management, engineering and construction management experience in water and wastewater , roadway and airport transportation, and land development. Bill specializes in transportation engineering, street and highway engineering, construction administration, and project management. Bill has also been heavily involved in professional organizations such as the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) serving on the Idaho Board and as National Director Idaho.  He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Boise Chamber of Commerce. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology and Public Works from the Oregon Institute of Technology. He is registered engineer in Idaho and Washington.

Treasurer

Cathy is an experienced financial management professional with a demonstrated history of leadership in the Engineering, Architecture and Design industries. She is skilled in cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, business operations and contracts administration. Her background includes senior positions with several large, high-growth corporations including Finance Director and Vice President, Finance and Administration for two of the largest and fastest growing engineering firms. Cathy has extensive experience developing administrative policy, designing and implementing financial reporting systems and modeling for budgets and forecasts in complex business environments. Her varied business background also includes new business start-ups, due diligence and operational integration related to mergers and acquisitions. Cathy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Florida International University where she is also a graduate of the FIU Honors College.

Franklin Torrealba

FRANKLIN TORREALBA, PE, ENV SP

Regional Director, South Florida Water

Franklin is the South Florida Water Regional Director who came to Ardurra through a recent acquisition that specialized in water and wastewater projects. With over 36 years of experience, mostly focused in South Florida, he has become renowned in the fields of program & project management, planning, hydraulic modeling, preliminary engineering & feasibility reports, design, permitting, scheduling, cost estimating, bidding services, procurement, construction management & administration and construction inspections for pump stations, pipelines, implementation of trenchless technologies,), water/wastewater facilities & treatment plants, sanitary sewer system, water supply & distribution, wastewater collection & transmission, sanitary sewer evaluation survey (SSES) flow monitoring, Infiltration/Inflow (I/I) management, rainfall monitoring & I/I compliance, stormwater systems, transportation, environmental services, disaster recovery, resiliency & infrastructure hardening, business process optimization, and value engineering. Mr. Torrealba holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University, New Orleans. Besides Florida, he is also a registered professional engineer in Puerto Rico and New York. In addition, he is a member of several professional organizations, including ASCE, WEF, FES, CAACE, AWWA, among others. During the last three years, Mr. Torrealba has been a member of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign having served as the 2020/2021 Chairperson and member of the Board of Ambassadors from 2022 through 2023.

RYAN MCGUIRE

Head of Mergers & Acquisitions

Ryan McGuire is our Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), further strengthening our leadership team. Ryan brings a decade of experience in finance, strategy, and corporate development within private equity-owned companies across diverse industries including waste & recycling management, insurtech, retail, and real estate. Throughout his career, he has been part of organizations during all phases of the business lifecycle, including start-ups, turnarounds, and high-growth corporations. Most recently, Ryan served as the Director of M&A for the fifth largest privately held waste & recycling management company in the United States. During this time, he was responsible for the strategic development and execution of over 40 acquisitions resulting in unprecedented growth for the company. Additionally, Ryan participated in the company's successful recapitalization with one of the world's largest private equity firms.

Ryan works closely with President & CEO, Ernesto Aguilar, playing a key role in evaluating growth opportunities and leading due diligence while coordinating with key leaders and stakeholders to continue Ardurra’s acquisition success. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Carthage College and is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Ricardo Vieira

RICARDO VIEIRA, PE

Regional Director, North Florida Water

Ricardo has over 20 years of experience in water and wastewater utility infrastructure program management and design. He has extensive experience in program management, design management, project management, and task management for water, wastewater, reclaimed, and storm-water treatment, transmission, and conveyance projects. Ricardo has managed multiple multi-million-dollar programs/projects, providing oversight of the project start-up and close-out, quality assurance of contract deliverables, management of subcontractors, staffing, financial management and reporting, compliance with contract and corporate legal and policy requirements. Ricardo will support the growth of Ardurra’s Water practice in Florida including client development, strategic positioning, development of proposals and presentations, and development of new service capabilities. Ricardo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.

CINNAMON WAGENER

Marketing Director

Cinnamon has 30 years of experience centered on strategic marketing and communications support in the A/E/C industry. She is responsible for managing firm-wide marketing resources, directing persuasive pursuit campaigns, working hand-in-hand with Ardurra’s robust business development teams to capture key projects, and supporting merger and acquisition integrations. Cinnamon has successfully led billion-dollar project pursuits, including developing winning proposals and presentations with compelling themes, proving graphics, and strategic messaging. She is a proven leader with strong communication, organizational and analytical skills focused on establishing strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Pat Colwell

PAT COLWELL, PE

Operations Director, Northwest

Pat is the Operations Director for our Northwest Region. Pat joins the Ardurra Team with more than 20 years of Project Management experience in land development, transportation, and public works. His project experience has also included energy projects, residential airparks, hops facilities, and hillside developments. Pat previously served as the Treasure Valley Regional Manager overseeing 100 employees. This experience, coupled with his versatile project management experience, plays an instrumental role in his ability to lead effectively. Pat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineer from New Mexico State University. He is a registered professional engineer in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Ginny Waters

GINNY WATERS

Communications Director

Ginny brings with her 20 years of strategic corporate communications expertise across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) as well as financial services industries. Prior to joining Ardurra, Ginny held leadership positions at one of the largest globally employee-owned Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms. There, she led internal communications, employee engagement and culture initiatives, and employer branding efforts.

Ginny will help drive Ardurra's growth journey through impactful storytelling and strategic communications to engage both internal and external stakeholders. She will work closely with President and CEO, Ernesto Aguilar, to shape a cohesive brand presence that embodies our values and vision, further elevating Ardurra's reputation in the industry.

CARMEN KASNER, PE

Operations Director, Southwest

Carmen has over 32 years of engineering experience and brings a servant leader focus to Ardurra. This focus will help develop creative solutions for clients, mentor and motivate staff, and help grow the organization. Most recently, she was responsible for the operations of a 200+ person group at a top 30 ENR Design Firm. Her clientele included local agencies completing all types of public works projects, with a heavy emphasis on water and wastewater projects. She is well versed with all aspects of water and wastewater projects from master planning, asset management, design, construction management, to public outreach and rate setting. She loves the challenge of supporting complex projects through completion, with very short schedules. Carmen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University and is a registered engineer in California and Arizona.

Julie Woodruff

JULIE WOODRUFF

Executive Services Coordinator

Julie has over 30 years of experience working in multifaceted municipal and private sector firms. Throughout her career, Julie has served in many leadership positions at several of the top global engineering firms. Prior to joining Ardurra, she was the Corporate Services Director focusing on acquisition integrations and national cross-selling initiatives. Her municipal experience includes serving as the Administrative Services Director overseeing the departments of Human Resources, Information Technology and Administration. Julie brings Ardurra a wide array of expertise in Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, and Communications. Julie attended BIOLA University and studied Business Management.

Chris Kuzler

CHRIS KUZLER, PE

Chris Kuzler has been with the company for 30 years and has played an instrumental role in its growth and development. He was part of an acquisition that specialized in water and wastewater projects. His broad range of experience includes all facets of water and wastewater conveyance systems, membrane water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, solid waste facilities and public works. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Adelphi University.

JAMES KIZER, PE

Technical Innovation Director

Jim is the Technology Director for Ardurra. He is based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He has more than 35 years of water and wastewater system engineering experience, including about 20 years at his previous firm where he served as the President and Senior Process Engineer prior to joining the Ardurra family. He was part of an acquisition that specialized in water and wastewater projects. Jim holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Auburn University. He is a registered engineer in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and North and South Carolina.

Derek Naiser

DEREK NAISER, PE

Operations Director, Central

Derek has over 33 years of experience delivering civil infrastructure projects including transportation, drainage, water and wastewater. Derek is focused on the growth and success of the Central Region which currently includes Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He feels the biggest contributors to this growth and success are internal and external client service and satisfaction. Prior to being acquired Ardurra, Derek was the owner of a mid-sized engineering firm. As COO he managed and led operations and sales as well as all aspects of managing and running a 110-person consulting engineering firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered engineer in Texas.
