Regional Integrated Loop System, Phases 2 and 3B

The Regional Integrated Loop System enhances water supply reliability while supporting continued growth across the Peace River Manasota service area. Strategic infrastructure improvements enhance redundancy and operational flexibility while demonstrating effective regional cooperation in water resource management and the development of distribution systems. Key project components included:

Phase 2:

• Seven miles of 42-inch transmission main with 1,400 LF of 24-inch infrastructure

• Comprehensive hydraulic modeling of the system serving multiple county jurisdictions

• Pump and meter station evaluations to optimize system performance and operational efficiency

• Multi-jurisdictional coordination and permitting for regional infrastructure development across county boundaries

• Existing infrastructure integration to ensure seamless connection

Phase 3B:

• Five miles of 48-inch transmission main and one mile of 36-inch with steel casings and aerial crossing

• Meter stations and SCADA integration

• Comprehensive hydraulic modeling of proposed pipeline, water system, and future phases

• Conceptual booster pump station site plans with available land evaluation and future construction recommendations

• Complex route evaluations, navigating project constraints while enabling connectivity

• Contractor prequalification process for main contractors and directional drill specialists

The project achieved on-schedule, under-budget completion due to effective collaboration among the owner, contractor, and engineer, coupled with favorable weather and well-written bidding documents.
