Salt Lake City International Airport Building Demolition and Ramp Reconstruction

Salt Lake City, Utah

Ardurra was selected for a $2.6 million project to remove hangars and a maintenance building, and complete an apron extension and pavement rehabilitation for an existing apron at SLC. The site is being redeveloped to accommodate growth on the GA side of the international airport. There are numerous utilities both above and underground that were impacted by this project. Ardurra worked with many stakeholders to design and get permitting for utility revisions including CCTV, storm drain networks, fiber, underground power, water, sewer, and gas lines. Phasing and coordination with SLC Operations was key to ensure a secure site that didn’t impact any operations from users of the airport. This project came in at the expected engineer’s estimate and is currently under construction.
