Ardurra successfully secured $4,161,150 in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) to replace approximately 300 galvanized water service lines with lead "gooseneck" connections, directly protecting water quality for Wilmington residents. This achievement resulted from CFPUA's proactive Lead & Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) compliance efforts and Ardurra's expertise in navigating complex federal funding mechanisms.

CFPUA's approach included establishing a complete database of water service lines and inspecting over 10,500 properties throughout the service area. While no lead water services were discovered, the utility identified over 400 galvanized lines installed in the mid-1900s with problematic lead pipe gooseneck assemblies connecting to main water lines, requiring immediate replacement to ensure public health protection.
