CR 721 Construction and Turnkey Progressive Design-Build Services
Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF), Brighton Reservation, FL
Ardurra, in partnership with OHLA/Community Asphalt Corp., is leading the design efforts for the Progressive Design-Build Project along County Road 721 in Glades County, Florida. This project focuses on essential upgrades to an 11.5-mile segment of CR 721, extending from SR 78 to the Indian Prairie Canal Bridge approach.
The project supports the new Seminole Casino & Hotel Brighton, a 38,000 sq. ft. casino and 100-room hotel set to boost tourism and economic growth in the region. The improvements include milling, resurfacing, widening, and pavement reconstruction to enhance the roadway’s performance and safety. Additional upgrades include utility and drainage crossing improvements, the construction of a shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists, and the implementation of temporary traffic control measures, as well as signing and pavement markings. The project will also incorporate new lighting, fiber optic conduits, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) facilities to improve connectivity and safety.
The project requires extensive utility coordination and environmental permitting within the Seminole Reservation boundary and Glades County to ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. By modernizing this critical infrastructure, the project will enhance access, support regional development, and meet the growing needs of this vibrant community.
