Utility coordination for the largest urban freeway reconstruction in Maricopa County

Ardurra provides utility coordination services for the I-10 "Broadway Curve" reconstruction, the largest urban freeway reconstruction project in Maricopa County. The transformative project widens I-10 between SR 202L and I-17 to six general-purpose lanes and two high-occupancy vehicle lanes in each direction, significantly enhancing traffic capacity and regional mobility throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The scope encompasses approximately one mile of east- and westbound US 60 between I-10 and Hardy Drive, plus approximately one mile of north- and southbound SR 143 between I-10 and the southern end of the SR 143 bridge over the Salt River. The complex Public-Private Partnership uses Design/Build delivery through a joint-venture developer, requiring sophisticated utility coordination throughout the construction phases.
