Ardurra served as the Traffic & Systems Integration task leader for an inter-modal transportation project, developing advanced systems integration across five corridors and an inter-modal terminal. The complex scope included integrating trains and traffic signals into TranStar (i2-TMS) and the Rail Operations Center, as well as implementing cutting-edge technology infrastructure to support seamless multimodal operations.

The sophisticated system architecture encompassed wireless mesh networks (Wi-Fi cloud) along all corridors, CCTV and Dynamic Message Signs at stations, GPS-based Automatic Vehicle Identification systems for train location, and Video Image Vehicle Detection Systems at all traffic signals. Advanced communication infrastructure included fiber networks, train-signal interfaces, HUB buildings for signaling, and comprehensive ITS elements with SCADA control systems.
