Pangborn Memorial Airport Environmental Assessment

Ardurra delivered comprehensive environmental assessment and conceptual engineering services for Pangborn Memorial Airport's five-year Capital Improvement Program, successfully evaluating 11 critical infrastructure projects identified through the recently completed Master Plan Update (MPU). The MPU process revealed non-standard conditions requiring immediate attention to meet FAA design and safety standards.

The team conducted a detailed environmental impact analysis, focusing on wetlands and stormwater management systems, to support the Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Leveraging operational data from the current Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and findings from the 2019 MPU, Ardurra provided conceptual engineering solutions that balanced environmental protection with operational safety requirements.

The EA process included extensive public outreach components, ensuring community stakeholder engagement throughout the evaluation process. This approach enabled the airport to advance critical safety improvements while maintaining environmental compliance and community support for the five-year capital improvement program.
