Ardurra provided aquatic life support system design and engineering services for Ripley's Entertainment Inc.'s $130 million world-class public aquarium at the base of the CN Tower in Toronto. The 135,000-square-foot facility, which opened in fall 2013, features 1.5 million gallons of marine and freshwater habitats displaying diverse species from across the globe while establishing new benchmarks for urban aquarium design.

The aquarium houses more than 13,500 exotic marine and freshwater creatures, comprising over 450 species, with sophisticated life-support systems that ensure optimal conditions for diverse marine ecosystems. The centerpiece attraction features a unique 315-foot moving walkway through an acrylic tunnel beneath the massive 750,000-gallon Shark Lagoon, providing visitors with immersive experiences with 10-12-foot sand tiger sharks, large tooth sawfish, and dozens of other species.
