Stoddard Pathway

Ardurra provided design and planning services for the Stoddard Pathway Rails-to-Trails project, which has extended the trail one mile into downtown Nampa. The strategic initiative transforms abandoned railway infrastructure into community recreation assets through master planning, survey services, and detailed design documentation supporting phased implementation and grant funding acquisition.

The approach included developing master plans with conceptual pathway layouts, landscaping designs, and new park development, featuring color renderings and cost estimates, enabling the Nampa Parks Department to effectively engage stakeholders and community members. Strategic planning documentation supported the successful submission of TAP grant applications through LHTAC, securing funding for the first two construction phases.

Key Trail Development Services:

• Developed a comprehensive master plan, including conceptual pathway layouts, landscaping design, and new park development with cost estimates

• Provided survey and planning services supporting a one-mile trail extension into downtown Nampa through Rails-to-Trails conversion

• Created detailed colored renderings enabling Nampa Parks Department stakeholder engagement and successful public outreach initiatives

• Secured TAP grant funding through LHTAC application support, utilizing master plan documentation for the first two construction phases

• Designed an additional ½-mile trail extension incorporating low-maintenance, drought-tolerant landscaping throughout the corridor

• Planned trailhead public park featuring sports fields, tot lot, picnic shelter, parking, and restroom facilities supporting community recreation
