Ardurra Receives 2025 M&A Best Practices Award

Morrissey Goodale spotlights Ardurra’s 3F framework for successful, people-conscious acquisitions

Ardurra has been named the recipient of the 2025 M&A Best Practices Award by Morrissey Goodale, a national recognition presented to firms advancing best practices in acquisitive growth across the AEC industry.

This recognition reflects the approach that has guided Ardurra’s journey since its founding in 2017. With more than 1,850 employees today across 22 states and Puerto Rico, Ardurra has completed 26 acquisitions using a consistent internal framework known as the 3F Rule: Fit, Future, and Financials.

The 3F Rule helps evaluate potential partnerships by focusing on cultural alignment, growth potential, and financial strength. It’s a process built not just on business logic but on long-term relationships and mutual opportunity.

“This award is a meaningful recognition of how we approach growth, not as a transaction, but as a partnership rooted in trust and shared opportunity,” said Ernesto Aguilar, PE, Ardurra President & CEO. “At Ardurra, every acquisition starts with people. We believe success lies in cultural alignment, in creating a place where teams can thrive together, and in delivering on the promise of something greater. That’s what the 3F Rule is all about and why this recognition is so meaningful.”

The award will be presented at the Western States M&A and Business Symposium in Las Vegas. Ardurra has also designated the award’s accompanying charitable gift to Engineers Without Borders.
