DART Silver Line Brings a Long-Standing Regional Vision to Life

Dallas, TX

The DART Silver Line Regional Rail represents one of North Texas’s most ambitious mobility initiatives, an east–west rail connection linking DFW Airport to Plano through seven cities across the Metroplex.

Designed to enhance mobility, access, and economic opportunity, the 26-mile corridor includes 10 new stations, modern Stadler FLIRT trains, and seamless connections to existing DART and TEXRail lines.

Ardurra, along with WSP, served as DART’s Program Manager and Owner’s Representative, providing program oversight and management support from early design through construction.

Leaders across the program reflected on the impact of this milestone:

"The Silver Line represents years of collaboration and commitment from across North Texas. Connecting seven cities and DFW Airport creates new pathways for how people live, work and move. Ardurra is proud to have worked alongside DART, our partners, and the community to help bring this transformative project to life.”
— Bill Knapp, PE, National Multimodal/Transit Director

"Delivering a $2.09 billion rail project across seven cities is no small task. Our team at Ardurra worked side by side with DART, WSP, and so many others to solve challenges and keep things moving. That collaboration turned a complex design-build effort into a system that will serve North Texas for generations."
— Michael Cooper, PE, Project Director and Ardurra Leader of the PMOR Team

The Silver Line is expected to support more than 11,000 weekday riders and hundreds of thousands of regional jobs by 2040, advancing mobility and economic growth across the region.
