Ardurra is pleased to announce Scott Whalen, PE, as the company’s new South Region Operations Director.

Scott Whalen will serve as the South Region Operations Director for Ardurra, where he will oversee regional operations, drive strategic growth initiatives, and collaborate with company leadership to expand service offerings and meet financial objectives. With over 30 years of professional experience in water resources engineering, Scott has established himself as one of Southeast's leading water resource managers.

Prior to merging with Ardurra, Scott held various leadership positions at WK Dickson, including serving on their board of directors, chief operations officer, and as vice president of the Raleigh regional office. He founded the company's watershed services program and has successfully led numerous major water resource projects throughout the Southeast, specializing in urban and coastal stormwater management, stream restoration, and flood control infrastructure design.

Scott began his career with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, progressing from technician to engineering manager. He holds a BS in civil engineering from Bluefield State College, a master of civil engineering from North Carolina State University, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
