City of Georgetown Wastewater Treatment Facility Modifications

Ardurra successfully resolved SCDHEC Consent Order violations for the City of Georgetown's 12 MGD wastewater treatment facility, delivering comprehensive improvements that eliminated NPDES permit violations occurring between 2012 and 2014. The team developed and implemented a corrective action plan accepted by SCDHEC, completing three construction phases on budget and ahead of schedule to meet mandated effluent discharge limits.

Following extensive evaluation of headworks, SBR basins, sludge systems, and disinfection options through a preliminary engineering report, Ardurra prioritized improvements to resolve operational issues while enhancing plant performance and energy efficiency. Strategic coordination with SCDHEC and city officials enabled accelerated implementation of critical infrastructure upgrades.
