Downtown Sevierville Streetscape Lighting Design

 Sevierville, Tennessee

Ardurra (CCI) partnered with Vaughn and Melton to provide comprehensive engineering services for the Downtown Sevierville Streetscapes Project. Our team was responsible for designing new decorative street lighting systems along two main downtown corridors totaling approximately 1,850 feet, as well as traffic signalization improvements for multiple intersections throughout the project area.

The street lighting design involved replacing existing HPS cobra-head style fixtures with an elegant decorative lighting system featuring LED luminaires and decorative posts. Our design team collaborated closely with the project landscape architect to conduct photometric analysis of various decorative lighting options and determine optimal pole spacing configurations. The new decorative street lighting system enhances the downtown aesthetic while providing practical amenities for street festivals and community events through integrated electrical outlets in the light poles and strategically placed decorative bollards throughout the project corridor.

The design incorporates provisions for future technological enhancements, including infrastructure for remote monitoring and control capabilities, pathways for future city-owned fiber optic cable installation, and audio system integration for special events. This approach ensures the lighting system can evolve with the community's growing needs while maintaining the enhanced character and functionality of downtown Sevierville's streetscape.
