The Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority (Authority) supplies potable water to DeSoto, Sarasota, Charlotte and Manatee Counties and the City of North Port through a network of regional transmission mains ranging in size from 12-inch through 48-inch.

Ardurra was retained to provide preliminary engineering, design, permitting and construction management services for Phase 2 of the Regional Integrated Loop System. Services included planning and hydraulic modeling of the existing regional water transmission system and evaluations of the pump and major meter stations and design, permitting, construction management and full-time construction observation services for the project, which consisted of a 7-mile long 42-inch transmission main, 1,400 LF of 24-inch transmission main three meter stations and three interconnects with the Authority’s existing 36-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe South Regional Transmission Main (SRTM).
