Westshore Marina District Mixed-Use Waterfront Development

Tampa, FL

Shaping Tampa's waterfront, one phase at a time.

Ardurra served as design engineer of record for the Westshore Marina District's Bridge Street infrastructure (Phases 1–3), a critical component of a 52-acre master-planned waterfront development in Tampa along Tampa Bay.

Key Highlights:

  • Designed a 0.5-mile urban roadway with on-street parking, a traffic circle, and a CSX railroad crossing to improve mobility and connectivity

  • Integrated underground water quality treatment and stormwater bypass systems to support environmental sustainability

  • Extended utility infrastructure, including water and force main extensions and a deep sanitary lift station, to serve mixed-use residential and commercial development

  • Coordinated phased certification and platting with the City, enabling multiple sub-developments to overlap infrastructure limits and advance vertical construction concurrently

  • Delivered civil design, permitting, surveying, and construction administration for three 16-story condominium towers, 14 townhomes, structured parking decks, and waterfront amenities

  • Extended the Friendship Trail, expanding public waterfront access and supporting a vibrant, sustainable mixed-use destination

From planning through construction administration, Ardurra's phased approach enabled seamless coordination across multiple developers and project timelines, helping bring a dynamic waterfront district to life. Phase 1 was completed in 2018; Phase 3 construction is currently underway.
