City of Fruitland, Idaho Water Treatment Plant

Fruitland, Idaho

The City of Fruitland’s previous water system was comprised of a series of low producing wells, which had elevated levels of arsenic and nitrate.

Ardurra designed, permitted, and constructed a temporary water treatment plant that pulled water from the Payette River. This modification allowed the City to provide adequate water supply to its citizens and industries.

Ardurra also prepared a facility plan outlining the long-term solution for the City water system. The facility plan shifted the water system. The design was broken up into 10 packages to allow construction of portions of the project to begin before design and permitting of the entire system was finished.

Construction of the $14.8 million project was completed within two years opened for public use.
