Glasgow Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

Glasgow, Kentucky

Ardurra (CCI) provided comprehensive engineering services and grant application assistance for the funding and multi-phased design of Glasgow Water Company's (GWC) Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The existing facility operated with an average daily flow capacity of 3 MGD, with plans to expand to 6 MGD average daily capacity, 10 MGD hydraulic capacity, and an additional 7 MGD storm surge capacity, achieving a maximum peak flow capability of 13 MGD. Ardurra (CCI) developed a comprehensive master plan for the treatment plant to identify the optimal upgrade pathway and strategically phased the work to minimize financial impact on GWC. Through Ardurra (CCI) Utilities' grant application support, GWC secured a landmark $1.8 million EDA grant—the largest EDA Grant ever awarded in Kentucky's history at the time.
