Meeker, CO
$13.5 million C-II runway and apron reconstruction with land acquisition
Ardurra's aviation group delivered runway and apron reconstruction services for Coulter Field's $13.5 million infrastructure modernization project, encompassing the full spectrum of airport engineering and management expertise. The transformative project included the complete reconstruction of Runway 3/21 and the apron area to meet enhanced C-II standards, enabling safe operations for larger class aircraft frequenting the facility.
The scope included demolition of existing runway infrastructure and reconstruction meeting C-II runway safety area standards and longitudinal gradient requirements. Strategic design coordination enabled the concurrent construction of the new runway, an enlarged aircraft apron, and a partial parallel taxiway connecting both facilities, while maintaining operational continuity.
