Meeker Airport Coulter Field Runway and Apron Reconstruction

Meeker,CO

Our aviation group completed a $13.5 million runway and apron reconstruction project at Coulter Field located in Meeker, CO.  The scope of this project ran the full gambit of airport engineering and management, including design and bid for the reconstruction of Runway 3/21 and apron area.  Design included demolition of the existing runway and reconstruction meeting C-II runway safety area standards and longitudinal gradient standards.

The apron was also reconstructed to meet C-II standards in order to safely handle the larger class aircraft that frequent the airport.  The new runway and larger aircraft apron were built concurrently with a partial parallel taxiway to connect the two.  The project included a full lighting system replacement and all new signage and NAVAIDs. Our team worked with the county, land owners, and tenants to acquire 107 acres of land for the runway reconstruction and large aircraft apron projects.
