Ardurra provided traffic engineering services for METRO’s corridor alternative analysis studies and DEIS for the North Hardy, East and Southeast LRT corridors. Ardurra performed existing and 2025 traffic level-of-service analysis with and without the LRT. The firm also:

• Performed traffic counts and projected future Year 2025 traffic volumes for the streets along the LRT corridors.
• Evaluated impacts from median closures and traffic circulation related to LRT implementation within the median of city streets.
• Considered potential all red phase for train crossings, in the analysis
• Developed traffic impact criteria, to be utilized for all corridors, in METRO Solutions Program
• Developed recommendations to mitigate the impacts of the proposed project
• Developed standard intersection geometry to improve the safety for left turns along the corridor
• Prepared budgetary cost estimates for the traffic improvements
