Ardurra is the Lead Engineer for this $200 Million program that includes planning, design, construction, and operations of the first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and a Transit Center in Houston. Ardurra conducted feasibility studies, prepared planning documents and assisted in obtaining federal grants for this ambitious project.

As Lead Engineer, Ardurra currently manages a team of eight consultants. The scope of services for the design phase include standards development, design workshops, document control using SharePoint, construction packaging right-of-way acquisition, cost estimating, utility relocation, hydraulic analysis, storm sewer upgrade, grade separation, SCADA, electrical and communications requirements. Early construction package was let in August 2015 followed by major construction packages in the spring of 2016. This program requires extensive coordination with FHWA, FTA, HGAC, METRO, TXDOT, City of Houston, HCTRA, HCFCD and City of Bellaire.
