SR 303L: Peoria Avenue To Mountain View Road
Surprise, Arizona
We completed final design and post-design services for six-lane divided urban freeway and two diamond TIs with multi-span AASHTO girder bridges on drilled shafts. Final design accounted for ultimate (4+1) lane configuration. Services included project management, roadway geometrics, PCCP pavement, drilled shaft + bridge structural design, hydrology, hydraulics, survey, right-of-way delineation, utility relocation coordination, public involvement, and post design. The construction phasing plan maintained traffic on existing two-lane roadway concurrent with freeway construction. There was a cost savings of $20M realized by utilizing CM@R delivery process to combine two sets of construction documents that balanced 585k cubic yard earthwork haul in six-mile corridor.
